JOST’s new kingpin traceability feature sets a new standard in safety and quality, providing unique identification for every kingpin through a QR code and alphanumeric serial number. This innovation allows full traceability of material chemistry, forging, machining processes, hardness values, and even inspection records like magnetic particle photos and ultrasound recordings—ensuring unmatched reliability and transparency in the field.

Kingpins will be uniquely identified giving individual traceability to:​

  • material chemistry – steel mill​
  • forger​
  • Jost machining center and processes​
  • hardness value​
  • photos of the magnetic particle inspection​
  • ultrasound inspection recording

Serialization will be done via a data matrix for an ease to scan during manufacturing steps and with an alphanumeric serial number for the ability to be read in the field.
